Black Cherry Ketchup

2 cups dried black cherries

1 cup cider vinegar

1 cup of water

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1/2 tsp dried hot peppers (optional)

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp onion powder

Process
In a small sauce pan blend sugar and vinegar over medium heat stir continuously until blended and dissolved.
Put in the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil stirring constantly.  Lower the temp to low and cook for 45
minutes or until the cherries are soft.

Place in blender, and be careful, the mix is hot and you need to hold down the top with a dish cloth under your
hand so you don’t get burnt .Blend till  smooth.

Refrigerate for 2 hrs before use.  Will last two weeks refrigerated.

You can mix many different dried fruits, all are great for meats, ice cream, toast, try it on many different things. Enjoy!
